Update on Pregnancy

So now I get to go to the doctor three times a week... which is not actually that bad since I am not doing much anyway. We have decided to do non-stress testing twice a week in addition to my normal visits just to make sure that the baby is moving okay and was not troubled by my bout with high blood pressure. Anyway, I went last Thursday and we are thinking that we will induce somewhere around 38 weeks. Doc is reluctant to give me a straight answer so we are playing the waiting game. Peter is not sleeping well at night thinking that I am going into labor at any moment and if I wake him up and ask him for a glass of water, he bolts out of bed thinking that I said "My water broke". We went on our hospital tour last night here at Tucson Medical Center, pretty nice but I hope the nurses are a little smarter than our tour guide! This morning, I met with the pediatrician to "check her out", she is great; at least this is one area I don't have to worry about. Pregnancy is one big state of worry... your first trimester, all you think about is whether you are going to make it to the bathroom on time and if the baby is healthy. Then second trimester, you lie waiting for one faint movement, pushing on your belly, trying to get the baby to move. Then third trimester, you really start freaking. When's the baby coming? Is he/she healthy? WHAT AM I DOING? I guess it is good preparation for parenthood. I thought I worried about my dogs, that was nothing. One bit of advice for anyone thinking of getting pregnant, DON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE'S ADVICE AND DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHER PREGNANT LADIES. Everyone is uniquely different and all it will do is freak you out.
