What I learned today
Well so far it is 11:30 in the morning, and I feel like I have had a rather educational day. I watched Montel Williams this morning and he taught me that if I spoil my kid too much, they may develop separation anxiety and try to kill me with a knife if I need to leave and go to the grocery store. No ice cream or toys for you, Natalie! Let's see... then I watched this wonderful program on Lifetime and I learned there that yes, drinking during pregnancy is bad and that according to the main character on the show, it should be a crime. Also, the doctor in this show purposely gets the drunk pregnant lady arrested for a DUI and goes to all her family members and co-workers to arrange an intervention. And who said doctors are too busy to spend quality time with you? If you are ever stuck at home like me, you'll realize that your standard of GOOD TV goes down quite a bit.I should also add in some things that I have learned from my ever-so-smart husband during this pregnancy. While spending hours roaming the aisles at Babies R Us (which let me tell you how much he loves) we discovered some interesting items. - While looking at mattresses for cribs, we found one with a 30 year warranty, and my husband quickly responded "For the baby that stops growing". Really, do we need a 30 year warranty on a crib mattress?
- Then we discovered the high chair aisle. My husband found a high chair that claimed it "Stimulates your baby to keep learning" with all the gadgets and toys on it. I believe my husband said something to the effect of "Thank god. This is for babies who just give up and STOP learning!"
